Can I whimp out please

Busy week this week with a couple of late finishes, an early start Friday morning doing some work on the site in the background before going to work and another late finish.
Aching, tired and hungry, home fed showered and bed at 10.30pm
Woken up by missus at 11.30, mother has had a fall, need to go round.
Get there and suspected hip fracture, ambulance called.
Paramedic and ambulance arrived at 2.00am and prognosis is correct,
They whisk her away in the big white taxi at 2.45am, my sister now there goes with her.
Finally home again for 3.00am, bed and no sooner settled than the alarm clock reminds me to get up out of my pit at 6.00am

What's this 'lie in' that people speak of ?
I need a Pie infusion

Theatre today but not sure what show shes going to see

mum fell and cracked her head on tues

6 stitches and a fair bit of blood

shes got a pacemaker and got up too fast and had a head rush blackout

all is good now though, shes more worried about not being able to wash her hair for five days than anything else

I was "ordered" to bed at 2345 thursday night when D realised i'd been awake for over 32 hours.
She worries about me since my little episode with my ticker and then collapsing after the long hours returning from Eire last year, then yesterday she threw a fit when she found out i'd got up at 0600 to finish the job i'd started before being ordered to bed
