as it says on the tin - what do people use as my budget isnt that high.

Wants to be able to cope with some dampness and something I can get out of in a hurry, thats really important, [:D] without ending up in the drink (nearly happened on sun night [:p] )

sun night was quite cold so think something a bit warmer will make a lot of difference.

any recommendations ?

Get yourself an ex army arctic sleeping bag, they can be picked up fairly cheap. They have a water proof ground sheet built in so to speak and I can guarantee they would keep you warm even in the face of the icy blast from a woman's temper they are that good :)

What Steve says if you want to be warm as toast

But if you already have a bag for warmer months, how about buying a fleece cover for it. Plenty of the tackle manufacturers do them

As Steve says, I have one with the built in groundsheet and it also has crash zips. Totally ticks all the boxes.

I use the trakker big snooze and thermal cover! You'll pick both up for 65 quid! I fished under a brolly all winter in temps as low as -9 and was fine mate![:T]
