If theres no carpet down and it's only go uh ng down to a solid floor or laminate, I'd say £80 + materials

now that is a question

how are the skirting boards finished, clear, paint, what size are the boards, what is the sub strate they are fixing to, is there carpet, or is it to floorboards, or laminate, is the floor level,

put a few more details, rather than just the mesurements

Well that looks like a solid substrate

if its new plaster, a skim ?, you will need to give it a good week to make sure that the moisture has gone before installation

plus I would mist coat the new walls before the skirts go on, tis easier

the existing skirt looks like 6 inch (150mm) torus moulding solid timber

if your looking at supply and fit , I, myself would be looking at charging you a full day on day rate (£150), mainly because I wouldnt be arsed to go to another job afterwards

fixings, glues and supplied skirting in pre primed MDF, would come to around £75 to £80

so with collection and delivery etc I would round my bill up to £250,

if thats any help

Yeah Mick brilliant help mate. It just seemed very excessive and silly when I had hardly put any details on of the job to come in £600!

Yeah new plaster and skim happening Thursday - Friday.

did you post it on one of those my builder type sites

because they charge the tradesman a fee to even get shortlisted for the job, wether they get or do it or not

so a few will include this feeplus the vat in thier estimate

£600...Jesus Christ!! 4m x 4m is the same size as my living room. A local chippy did mine in about an hour after work and charged me £60 (including the architrave) for fitting with grab adhesive and then nail gunned. I had to do the caulking and tidy up his offcuts outside.
