Try a bit of the old washing up liquid on yer spool, just a bit i find this helps sink yer line and its cheap and effective i always carry abit around with me!!!

Failing that dip yer rod tip in the water and make a couple of fast turns with the reels should see it sink quiet quickly!!
Hope this helps

Take the spool off the reel. mix up a container of water with some washing up liquid, and put the spool in to soak for a few hours. Alternatively soak a small piece of cloth in washing up liquid, after casting out wind the line back thru the cloth. A word of warning if your floats shotted right down, the sinking line may even pull that under.

chill out go fishing
