silly computer problem

Hi,
i have looking on e bay just browsing,i i came out of it nd went to safari , i click on MD had a look round came out MD
back to safari clicked on the H D sportster. forum.
problem is its opening E bay up ,i cant get on to the HD forum ,
ive never come across this before, .
IM on a IMAC Catalina
help please

It sounds like a cache issue, clear your browser's cache.

Or reboot it as Dave Spence would advise

I cant clear cache i go into safari preferences then should go into Advance tab, but the advance tab is not showing

so need more help p[lease

The only time I would suggest rebooting is when you have no hammer. The boot must have a steel toe cap and be smothered in the trusty WD40 ?

He's on a Mac.

I would suggest searching on a Mac forum for the answer.

Surely if you are viewing MD and HD websites, then you will be in Safari all the time?

Try downloading Firefox or Chrome as a backup browser to test if you can get to the 2 websites?

My granson popped round he had a look computer he got rid of the Harley forum shortcut ,then reinstalled it
And every things ok again ,just as was going to throw imac out the window and buy a windows PC
