I know they say .1g for every foot of water etc, but I like to fish a lot lighter than that when fishing maggots or meat, and get a nice slow fall...when you’re fishing expander pellet it’s all about dropping your rig straight down and holding it dead still , so all the weight needs to be at the bottom of the rig

Ordered the 2000 mm . Its 457mm long ,hope thats long enough lol ..

Why is it you tye loop at end to clip on winder slider.99% of time it ends up at end where it wont reach

I know I said to Emma .... ya were pegged next to my mate Chefster on the JJL match. She just smiled. What ya been up to Gazza ? You’ll have Tommy to deal with. . She’s a lovely lass is Emma. She won the lindholme winter bomb & feeder league last year in the company of Allan, Lee Kerry, her dad ( who come second to her ) Ben Fisk etc etc. And she’s leading this years. Lovely lady is Emma and a great angler. I’m printing that photo off Gazza. It can go next to yours on my bedroom ceiling.

Anyway talking off shoting.
If using olivettes on a paste rig.are you better off with all the bristle showing in float tube.
So you can hold against it and know your paste is still on.slightly holding bristle under style

When youve done your rig ,put the loop on the winder ,wrap it on until you get the length you need ,then above float tie another loop after a few wraps around winder making sure it fits on the slider .

Some dont use shot for paste floats ,i use a couple of number 8s half way down the rig to help when its windy ,so as not yo get tangles ,i leave a good bit of bristle showing

Never used an olivette for paste fishing ,the weight of the paste is what i use , plus a couple of 8s
