Looks like another tackle shop going,unless one of the big boys step in I can't see anyone else buying a property and business of that size

This was the answer to some Facebook rumours regarding them closing

I am afraid they are not rumours, the shop was put up for sale yesterday, if we do not get a buyer within the next 2-3 weeks then it will be closed by the end of the year !
All the staff members are devastated and were told the news late on Friday afternoon, none of us had a clue this was about to happen and are still in shock.

The new nearby angling warehouse type shop hit them hard may be?
Sad news, any essentials if passing I always got from them, sometimes a special 40 mile trip specially if I knew they stocked what I needed and any major items were always got from there due to great back up service, even if it cost that bit extra.

Sad news. New competition in the area. I have always felt that for the size of the shop they haven't stocked well. Really poor in comparison to say Benwick Sports. Their float selection in particular - I would rather drive further and get a better selection.
