Shakespear Victory 13ft X Kevlar match

One has appeared for sale with its spliced and hollow tops, I'm unfamiliar with the rod, looks like a late 80's early 90's offering with semi screw down reel fittings. Can anybody offer any opinions on it.

The normal tip is designed for casting wagglers a distance. A superb Carbon Kevlar match rod from the 1990's. The spliced carbon tip is for more finesse with stick floats/smaller wagglers.

I thought Victory were mid - late 80's. There was a pole as well

I had one in the late 80's if I recall correctly, I used the sliced tip section for stick float fishing and never had any problems with it. I upgraded to an Daiwa Amorphous Whisker stick float special when they came out as thats what some of the local Trent lads were using and winning with LOL

Yes I know them they are very similar to the silstar diaflex range could even be same blank. Not as fast as say a daiwa conni or a browning sphere ideal silver's rod if that's what your after.
