scalded maggots

are scalded maggots used as a feed on commercial fisheries in matches and if so does anyone flavour them and how.also does anyone still breed their own hook maggots. been away from the match scene for awhile, i used to breed my own gozzers and the difference in bites was very noticable. just wondered if anyone still bothered.

I would'nt scald them anyway due to the stretch factor and the smell!
Best way is to put the amount you want to use in a bag and seal it up so no air can get in, tie it off and bang it in the freezer the day before.
Take them out on the morning you intend to use them and they will be fine (and dead) and much more easy to work with.
