Fished another match with the same crowd today. This time we were at Russ's lake, A new venue for me. TBH it is more of a speci lake than a match lake, so I thought that this could be interesting. It is a 3 acre lake, buried in woodland.
First the scores. I missed 3rd place by a pound and a half with 60lb 8oz, but I only caught 3 fish. 3rd had 62lb with 4 fish, including a 35lber 2nd had 144lb with 14 fish and the winner was Russ (the owner) with 235lb for 11 fish.
The good new is all 3 of my fish were caught on sweetcorn on the pole, including A NEW POLE PB FOR A 26LB COMMON oops, sorry. Did I shout just then :D :D
I am, of course, chuffed to buggary;)
Proper report and photo to follow.

I had 3 fish on the pole: 16lb, 18lb 8oz and 26lb
Elastic was Browning 18+ hollow through a power top 2 with side puller.
The big fish took about 10 minutes and the elastic felt superb, I always felt in control I played it on topkit +1 and I landed it on the topkit. The pole is a MAP 201 that I bought from @GeoffP at the end of last year
