Date : 16/09/02
Venue: Boat Lake
Time : 10am till 3pm

A total of 16 fished in Tuesdays match on the Boat Lake.

As most are aware when ever i'm around something normaly goes wrong or the venue switches off.

Well Tuesday was no different as when the draw was made one of the members went to drive off to his peg and managed to reverse into the front of Dirks car
(which he had only just picked up from being repaired)

So needless to say poor old Dirk was not a happy bunny and we had to suffer him moaning all through the match

Well luckily the rest of the day past by with out any mishaps and the random rule check went by without anyone being found breaking them (barbless hooks and banned baits were the target) and every body was playing by the rules

And so on to the result :

Pops............44lb
D.Townsend..24lb 7oz
R.Morris......19lb 12oz
B.Johnson...19lb 10oz
B.Berry.......16lb 8oz
M.Finch.....16lb 1oz
D.Williams..15lb 2oz
R.Taylor....12lb 11oz
M.Law.......12lb 11oz
M.Doyle.....10lb 13oz
T.Fretter...10lb 10oz
D.Lacey.....10lb 4oz
B.Lacey......7lb 10oz
J.Beards.....3lb 15oz

B.Barnes & G.Treherne both did not weigh in.

Total weight caught was 224lb 2oz

Winner Pop with the best fish of the day weighing 12lb 8oz

6th placed Mick Finch with his catch on the day which included the 11lb carp (a big well done to Mick as he's still recovering after a stroke earlier in the year and has still not gained full use of his right hand)

I wont mention that fellow MDer FishkingUk (Brian Barnes) was the unfortunate person to be pegged next to me and and was also opposite Dirk so ear muffs were the order of the day for him (think we put him off though as he did not weigh in)

And yes Dirk took the 1 off me this week with his 15lb 2oz to my 10lb 13oz

The next Rugby Disabled match is on Tuesday 24th at The Glebe fishery sister fishery to Roy Marlows Mallory Park complex.

Malc...(or should it be Sir Elton from now on)

Don't knock it mate, you saw first hand what it did at Makins...

Can be devastating, I personally quite like this method, Scott gave me a few funny looks when I had it set up at Holly Farm...

i hate to admit it but thats the first time id seen the candle and it did seem kinda...well.... different [:D]

But im not knocking it, far from it, as i'll be first to have a good nose around and see how you snare those carp with it

The thing thats really amzed me was seeing a pic of the poser actualy catching a fish!!!
