Rugby Disabled Match 16/07/02 Drayton Res

Well what can i say about this match 12 of us fished it from pegs 35 to 48 on the Dam wall in what should have been perfect conditions for some serious Bagging.

But things never go the way they should and the fish just did not want to know and only 3 people caught with the rest blanking.

Here is the result, (afraid i did not get the 2nd placed anglers name)

1st..Roy Morris..37lb 2oz..(5 Carp)
2nd.. ? .............5lb 1oz..(Roach/Perch)
3rd..Malc Doyle...5lb........(1 Carp)

1st was peg 35 on the method
2nd was peg 47 on the waggler
3rd was peg 41 on bagging waggler

And also forgot to mention that Dirk was on peg 45 and was amonge those that blanked.

It's like i've said in the past Drayton can be a very demoralising place but i know that when it's on song it's great fun hooking fish that fight like stink and normally come out between 9lb and 12lb.

But i must admit that this year it has been the worst that it's fished since it opened as a carp water and after 8 matches and 3 practice sessions with only a total of 12 fish netted it is just starting to get to me.

But thats what i enjoy about fishing the fact that you never know if it's going to be a bag up session or a waste of time.
