Hi all,

I was hoping to have a day on the Trent this weekend.

Burton Joyce road stretch was the place that sprung to mind, been 15 years since i fished the river.

Does anyone one know of anywhere i could look to see what matches are on that stretch. Not even sure who's water it is now.

Thanks in advance, David

It's Ashfield Angling these days - no matches booked this weekend. Absolutely fishing it's nuts off

Yes... that's the one. Silvers showing everywhere in numbers (hemp & tare doing well), odd barbel coming out and if you land on one of the shoals, numbers of decent bream as well

The other side of the bank is Notts AA
Very reasonable £38 for the year.
Not sure how far you are coming from, but a couple of trips a year would work out cheaper than day tickets. Also a lot more water to choose from.
On some sections you are able to buy guest day tickets for about £3or £4. So you both may not have to join.
From Notts AA Trent sections I have had pb Bream 10lb, Perch 3lb 9oz, Eel about 5 and Barbel 12 1/2lb

I’m hoping for a 2lb plus Roach one day 😎

Thanks HTB, £38 seems very reasonable to be honest.

I am in Yorkshire so not a million miles away.

If you do join, they have their own facebook group.
Also, they have some nice ponds and lakes for close season fishing.

Just one more question guys, does it fish best on the Road stretch with a little extra on or is it best when just running off?
There looks to be a bit of rain forecast this week.
