River Tees

Hi anyone have any ideas how best to pole fish for chub in a pool behind a tree on the Tees ie: floats, rigs, bait, etc I would be grateful for any help

As your after chub and its near a snag i would advise you use a strong elastic and strong line say number 12 minimum to 4lb line minimum with a 3lb hooklength! Tie this to a size 16 and fish with double red maggot or double caster on the hook, feeding hemp and caster (i wouldn't suggest you feed maggots because this attracts the minnows) If this fails you could always try a chunk of bread or sweetcorn on a size 10.
