River Severn, Larford stretch

Im going Stourport next week, for a few days fishing. Ive never done any River fishing before, but i want to give it a go on the River Severn, in the hope of catching a few nice Barbel and Chub.

As Im unfamiliar with the venue and this type pf fishing i need to know: which Baits work best?
What Methods?

I particularly enjoy feeder fishing, mainly the method feeder, but I usually fish commercials. Would this be a good approach?

Any advice is welcome and will be much Appreciated.[]

Not fished that part of the river . Fish the middle. Feed 4mm halibut pellets in the feeder (make the holes bigger) and fish 10 or 12mm halibut on the hook . I hair rig them. Or fish big and i mean big meat. I have in past cut tin of meat in to four and use that add a bit of curry. If you use pellets important to keep the bait going in. Hope that has help. ps if 10 or 12 mm pellets dont work try 8 mm .
