river carp

Now river carp can prove a challege at the best of times. There are a number of carp in my local river can anyone give me some advice on how to winkle one out.

Lots of bait, little and often. Just keep it going in. I would say a handfull of pellets every hour. I fed the Thames for 3 days before even wetting my line for this cracker:

Caught under a tree on my left. Took the halibut after no less than 5 mins. Must have been anticipating the bait.

cheers i have to say that is a cracking fish ive seen a 30 pound plus in my local the river im fising is much smaller but thanks for the advice im thinking about pre baiting a spot for a couple of days before then a you say little and often.
