I won a 'Spot the ball' competition and won tickets to the charity shield, Man U v Newcastle. The pre match meal and drinks at Wembley was hosted by Tom and Zoe Ball. Both nice people, but Tom made sure he came to each table for a chat and photo. Nice bloke. RIP.

Just heard that Liverpool comedian
Tom O'connor has passed away aged 81.
He used to do an act on a Sunday lunchtime at Great Sankey Conservative club bear Warrington as he was starting out. Funny guy on stage.

Loved his golf. My favourite Tom O'Connor joke is the one where, at his local golf club, the clubhouse balcony overlooked the 18th green. Some lady members complained to the committee about the bad language they could hear from men as they were walking off the green. So at the next committee meeting they introduced a new club rule. Women were to be banned from the balcony.
