hi, my local res has been restocked with 500 barbel how can i catch them?, they were stocked last sunday any ideas?

Joe you've never had a barbel!
Yeh meat would be good, but dpending on whats in the reservoir you'd probably likely to catch em on baits you'd use for other species, if theres carp in you could probably catch them on pellet or paste, i always thought yu could catch barbel all year round.

yeh you do i ignored that bit i'm using peelet and meat and maggot

go for meat flavoured curry ,spicy, ect, or maggot in feeder if just put in go for them now as they have not been use to geting hooked ,they feed well all year around.dont just put them straight back after catching,give them time to recover so they swim off.also fins get caught in keepnet if you try to keep them []
