I have bought a second hand pole section with what can only be described as a rubbish repair. The section has clearly been telescoped and then superglued. Now this doesn’t sound too bad, but the glue has set with the two sections completely wonky. Is it possible to dissolve the glue and reset it?

I can only suggest heat or a solvent and both have issues... maybe bite the bullet and source another section...???

Maybe try working a little acetone into the joint with cotton buds, it may damage the carbon but if you keep the area you apply it small, that area will be covered up by a repair carbon wrap.

It came in a job lot consisting of a pole plus loads of spare (repaired) sections. I have a few No.4’s so I’m not desperate, but I would like to see if it’s salvageable. I’ll try the glue debonder and a heat gun first. Worst case, I’ll break repair and get it done correctly but I didn’t want to lose too much of the length.
