I have an American bait casting reel. Its done sterling service for me. Unfortunatly the brass nut that secures the handle to the reel has stripped. If I try to get one from the states it would cost approx 26.00. The approx size is 1/4inch and has very fine thread. Does any one know where I might be able to get another nut?

chill out go fishing

There's plenty of nuts on here John [:D]

Seriously, put it in an envelope and post it to me and I'll make you one up provided we've got the taps for the thread - chances are USF

I don't know if it'll be much use, but have a look at> www.rswww.com

They have all sorts of little things for engineering. The only thing is I'm not sure if you have to have a business account with them.

If you do and need to get it, I can order what you want for you. It normally gets to me by the next day, so you could have the stuff within a week.

Also, what about screwfix direct? I've never used them, but apparently they're quite good.

If you find what you want from RS, just send me a PM and I'll order it for you.
