REEL DILEMMA

Thinking of buying a new reel,shimano bio 3000mgs or diawa tds 2503cu can't decide wot one ...both bit pricey but best front drags about.
only required for float/light feeder work,anyone got or used either?
Your answers may sway the balance.

I use the 2500ia Daiwa.Thats a little belter but as you say,they are a bit pricey.195.00[:0]

Stu, just noticed this post. Have you looked at the "Okuma" reels? you know, they are not bad reels and cheaper.

A friend just bought a Akuma baitrunner nice reel aparantly shimano are a bit concernd as the Akuma is aparantly of a similar spec but a fraction of the price well worth a look at ther full range.If you end up with one let us know what you think.

If you can, take a look at the Mitchell 308X in the 5 bearing and 10 bearing designs. I have a pair of the 5 bearing ones and it is an absolutely wonderful light reel. Not sure of UK prices but $40 or $50 US for the reels depending on the number of bb you get.

I accidently would up with a mid-teen carp on one and it performed fine. I don't backwind so it was me, the fish, the clutch, and a very limber rod.
