It's a good idea - but I cannot imagine it's a easy retrofit and I would think the interchanges could be quite complex.

Why doesn't every new buid property in Britain have solar panels as a must included in the price,it would save the house owner money and the excess could be fed to the grid to power all these electric cars people are going to have to have eventually.
