I'd like to soak some tiger nuts, and had them last. I've got some corn steep liquor that's full of sugar, would that keep them if diluted with a bit of water?

Help advice grateful. Thanks all. Rich.

Oil is the best thing to soak them in to make them last. Tiger nut, hemp or even olive oil should all work. Sugar is more likely to ferment, not too drastic if you are into home made hooch.

Himalayan rock salt diluted in rainwater is the choice of experts in the field but I guess very salty water would do.
Dont be in a hurry to preserve them as we found they were at their best when you scraped the mould off and used them then as the fermenting process increased the sugars.
