Sammy,

Welcome to MD's

you elasticate the exactly as usual, but you need to look after tham when they are seperated. Prestons do a tube for storing them. Or if you use mulleto systems there are no sharp edgest when the sections are seperated.

Welcome aboard Sammy.
Stonfo make 'elastic savers' small plastic U shaped devices with a groove in them, When the top kit is taken apart, each leg of the U slots inside one of the sections and the elastic sits in the groove, preventing it from rubbing against the edge of the sections. They're a couple of quid for a pack 6
