I think you are right, but what’s the difference of cutting someone off for non payment to them having no money to put in the meter. The result is the same.

I would buy an alcoholic/drug addict some Electricity or Gas, i wouldn't give them a tenner though.

For the people who were on benefits before the pandemic there has been no change as far as I can see,they will still be getting the same benefits as before and presumably they are at home all day anyway if they aren't working so they shouldn't be using any more utilities,no reason at all not to pay their bills

You're not looking at the bigger picture . Our Tony killed all those people so that if a Tory government ever got in over in Iraq they wouldn't have the trauma of having no leccy.
