Pole Line

What is the "Pole Line" that I read and hear so much about, surely the pole line is the distance that you choose to fish.Is there some pre-determined distance which is always classed as the pole line, a bit like the Oche in darts I suppose?

when hearing about pole lines they are talking about where you are fshing one of your baits but on the pole.

for example you may have a deep pole line at 10 meters. but you may also have a margin pole line.

you could then swap to the feeder line at 40 yrds for exmaple so basically you would now be fishing the swimfeederinstead of the pole.

basically its a way of saying what method your using kinda

its really hard to explain someone else can probably do a better job but i tried lol

I have always thought pole line was the amount of line you have between your float and pole. Once you have plumbed up and set your distance, if you want to, you can adjust the length of line to your float to whatever suits you best (i.e. make a new loop and cut the excess line off)
