Can anyone give me a ruffguide on float weight = stotz

I just want to be able to thing 4x12 float = 3no8 2no12 stotz

So is there a guide to show the weight of 4x12 a 4x14 weight is

Is there a guide for the weight of each stotz size

Although I'm now confused cause I thought in order of weights it went 4x12, 4x14, 0.1g, 0.2g, 0.3g, 0.4g but according to the above 4x14 is 0.4g !?!

Use this mate, then you can see for yourself.
Stotz are the same as split shot as far as weight is concerned.

No.8 shot = no.8 stotz and so on......

4X12,4X14 etc refers to styl weights, you need to convert the weight to grams to be able to compare it to 0.1g 0.2g etc

No, the two systems of labelling floats are separate. The 4xnn is to do with Styl weights. The 0.1g is a straight reference to the loading in grammes.

I work on this very rough but very simple rule of thumb.

4x10 = 0.1g
4x12 = 0.2g
4x14 = 0.4g
4x16 = 0.6g
4x18 = 0.8g

I then shot the float to match how I want to fish it. So a small float may have a string or bulk of No.9, 10 or 11 Stotz or even two No.6 shot on a 0.2g float if I want a bulk. Anything over 0.4g I use a bulk or olivette.

For most of my canal work I use a 0.2g float that takes 7 No. 9 Stotz plus some No.13 for fine tuning. I will string the Stotz out at first but bulk them up if catching well. For margin carp it is two No. 6 shot on a 0.2g float.
