A question for you pole lads, as my wife is away for a while I have fished the last three days, (and Sunday,[;)]) each day I have been to the pool (and at other times) I Have found a pole float or three ( I fish facing the wind) I have found about six or seven in the last couple of days that still have line, shot and hook attached, and notice that the line has broke aprox one foot above the float, all the line was tested and found to be strong stuff, I just wandered why the breaks just above the float in so many that I found, thanks ANT.

Yeah, more than likely the loop going.

Could also be where people have had big fish take them into the reeds, and the lines been grazed by them.

I rarely lose a rig, but the times when it happens, its usually just above the float, or near the knot of the loop[:(]
