Hi all, fishing a lot less nowadays and have stopped fishing matches, I currently own a Daiwa Whisker AU which is in excellent condition, I’m considering downgrading to something which meets my new fishing requirements, I rarely fish over 13m if I’m honest and set up 3-4 top kits on my pleasure sessions, did consider the multi margin but I think I’d regret it as it’s only 9.5m, was considering the Daiwa power carp X 13m which is £330 at a local shop, firstly will my whisker top kits fit this pole and can anybody provide a honest review, I realise it’s not in the same league as my current pole.

I agree
Going from a decent pole to one that is heavier etc doesn't feel right. I did it and noticed a difference in my shoulder. I developed pain from the new set up. Maybe worth considering

Dont downgrade you will only regret it. I went down that road and after 30 years of matchfishing having used top end poles I downgraded and lasted 2 months before getting snother top end pole.
