Fishing For Charity - Wraysbury 10th February 2002
Irrespective of angling specialism or ability, Stoneyandfriends Charity fish-ins have something for you.

Stoneyandfriends offer quality venues (normally only accessible to season ticket holders) from as little as 10.00, with all proceeds going to the MacMillan Cancer Relief Charity.

The next major event is a one day pike fish-in at Wraysbury on 10th February 2002. This event is open to everyone for a minimal charge of 10.00. Hot food will be available on site, and there will be a raffle in the afternoon with many great angling related prizes to be won.

The last event at Yateley in September raised over 11,000 so you can see that the fund raising is taken seriously. However, as you can imagine, with 104 like minded anglers, the social was a great crack with a brilliant and friendly atmosphere the whole time, and even a few great fish were caught!

This is not a day solely for experienced specialists so irrespective of your ability, come along. There will be many experienced anglers there who are always very generous with advice, and you never know, they might even put you on to a new PB.

Dave,
Any idea how many Maggotdrowners are going?
Ive not fished for Pike before, but I hope to have a practice session or two and get down there on the day. Hoping Stoney can come up with some nice local pubs to stay at, or perhaps someone has a spare bivvy?
If theres enough of us , how about a side stake of a 5.00 bet for the Pike best, with 1/2 going to Macmillans? (all if I should be so lucky)
Have to close now as the tablet nurse is coming to tighten the straitjacket.
