I've just seen the photo of the new Record Perch.
What a magnificent fish!!!!!!
Congratulations to Dean Rawlings.
Just goes to show that you don't have to be a "Name" fishing a syndicate water with all the latest kit to break a record.
Isn't this what it's all about.

I haven't got all the information but I remember reading, on another site, that some carper muppet accused the young lad of "fluking it". (BTW that is not a "GO" at carp anglers just one p*** in particular)

And to think that the record bream was caught by a carp angler fishing for - carp. I take it he fluked it as well.

Well done to the young man, but I bet the circus tries to get on the water.

Hi all.

Dave the recorded weight on capture was 5lb 12oz but when checked the scales were found to be weighing 2oz heavy so the new record stands at 5lb 9oz 8drwhich is half oz heavier than old record, hope that helps

here here

step 1 = boy goes fishing
step 2 = sets up tackle
step 3 = puts bait on hook
step 4 = casts out
step 5 = gets bite
step 6 = strikes
step 7 = catches cracking fish
step 8 = jelous d**k head says he fluked it

i think steps 1 to 7 were followed correctley so whats his problem
(he must have blanked)
it isn`t the size of the tiddler that counts
