I've been looking at trying one or two methods that I have never tried before, and wondered if anyone can explain the difference between a pellet waggler (fished shallow) and a splasher waggler. Is it just the noise ?

Pretty much, but the added weight/boyancy of the splasher acts as a bolt rig too.

In a nutshel, you can lob out you splasher and keep the feed going in, not having to worry as much as to hitting bites, you just have to lift in to them.

Anyone tried this for fish other than carp by the way??

Andy :)

Try this it will help you with the pellet waggler

The splasher waggler differs slightly it is often fished with balls of groundbait as feed. The float will simulate the groundbait hitting the water attracting carp to the splash.

Thanks Nick, brilliant article, and liked the sequence photos.

I will give that a go.
