Just heard on the BBC that the ‘controversial’ pay per view Premier League idea has been scrapped.

At last common sense prevails !

Whose idea was it to ask cash strapped fans to cough up another £14.95 to watch extra matches in the middle of a world wide pandemic ?

Mick Ashley wanted the £15 scrapped or brought down to £5.
Did hear some game got 15,000 pay. And highest was 100,000

What didn't get heavily publicised was the boycott of the 1st game, Newcastle v Man U by Newcastle fans who instead donated the £14.95 match costs to the Newcastle Utd food bank ....they raised over £20k in one hit
