I have some external wooden shutters to paint and would appreciate advice.
The shutters are already painted and I don't want to use the wrong paint. Is there any easy way to decide whether the existing paint is oil based or water based?
I am looking to use either Sikkens robbol satura or Jotun Demidekk ultimate. There is a little difference price wise and both get excellent reviews, Anyone used either one?
When painting, would you recommend a primer and then topcoat or two coats of the finish paint?
Many thanks once again, it is really helpful to pick the brains of the professionals.
