A friend of mine at work is recommending I try fishing at a place called Orton Staunch in Peterborough. I think it is on the River Nene, so it would have to be next season now.

Does anyone know anything about this fishery, e.g. fishing costs, club membership, and quality of the venue? Thanks.

Hey folks what's happening ??

I told my mate at work we'd have an answer based on first hand experience to this question by the end of Friday night.

Has no-one ever visited or heard of this fishery then?

hi
sorry ive been a bit busy last couple of days.
i think it its just upstream from orton lock depths about 8 -10ft width 15-18m .
mainly roach & bream but chaces of chub
peterborough ac day tickets on bank about 3-50 (i think)
if your going in new season i think youd be as well to go on the embankment at p/boro it normally fishes better in the early season & its free fishing

tight lines.

Thanks Martin. Faith restored, I knew some-one must know something about it.

Would you say it's a good fishery?
