The BBC forecast for Ross-on-Wye looks pretty good...

So no doubt it'll be changed to snow, sleet and locusts by the time we get there.

Not much action on this thread seeing as it starts end of this week. I've got most of my kit sorted but will need to go shopping on the Friday at some point for essentials

Looking forward to Thursday evening now.

A patch of level ground located and trampled down, tent set up, airbed inflated, tackle organised and a bed of particles spodded out, sitting under the open boot hatch sheltering from the blisteringly hot sun, with some revolting tinned sh*te bubbling away in a saucepan, and an ice cold beer in hand, greeting other arrivals.

Heaven. [8D][:T]

Just sorting my kit out now.

Do I need size 20 elastic in my top sets or do you think I can get away with 16?

And will 3 keepnets be enough if the carp really turn on?

20 elastic should be fine, as long as it's set firm.
And don't mess about with hooklengths of anything less than 0.30mm,
then you'll have a chance if one of those pesky pike seizes your fish on the way in.

Sadly, keepnets are banned this year, so I'd suggest leaving yours at home.

Double 19 through a landing net handle should suffice, no need to go to 20!
