Oaklands - Gowdall

I'm on a match there on Saturday (26th) on the horseshoe lake (railway side) as far as I know. So I'm looking for some tips!

I've been there a couple of times but only pleasure fished with corn, meat and bread which worked out great but I thought I would ask!

Also how's it fishing these days?

Fished it friday 18th mate, peg 7 on horseshoe, fed 4mm pellets, pellet or corn on the hook at 6 mts,on the deck, fish a chuck, had carp to 6,lb, small tench 1/2,lb,chub & ide,+ a few roach to 8oz, had most fish on corn.

Cheers, I was hoping someone would say corn as I had some great days using corn there [] I just like to be reassured !! Plus pellet is always in my bag so I can't go wrong there...

Right I have myself a sizeable bag of corn and meat ready and my pellets are sorted, Just thought I would see if there was any more words of wisdom for the weekend!
