Hello all, this is my first post on this board and im looking for a bit of information.
Its been a while out of the sport, i last fished around 4-5 years ago. Ive been keen to take it back up again as all the old gear is still in the shed. What i wanted to know is does anyone know how yarm/preston park is fishing? I used to go there all the time, but when i went bankside last summer, there was loads of work going on on the banks to resurface the pathways. Is it all complete now? Are there any other rivers/lakes fishing well locally around Mbro region?
Any help with the above questions much appreciated

Welcome to the site Rob

All the work's finished at Yarm now (think it was part of the flood prevention scheme) but if you want to fish down there you'd better hurry up - the season finishes on Friday [:p]

There's plenty of stillwaters to have a go at though -
Albert Park Lake has just been restocked (carp & roach so far)
Renny Lake nr East Harlsey is fishing well.
Woodlands at Thirsk is getting better now things are warming up a little.
The Leeds DASA ponds at Catterick have just been stocked with 4000 carp (only little uns though) and is fishing quite well
Aycliffe Pond is fishing well too

There's loads of other stillwaters to go at and I'm sure somebody on here will have fished them.
