Hi Gf, I've just this minute sent you an email icon_smile.gif
I haven't fished it all this year but last year I spent many evenings on the
old lake mainly with a float rod and free-line bread, stalking the carp.
There are some very good fish in there if you can get them.
Try free lining bread but becareful of the geese if they are on the lake.
If you get pestered by them, switch to corn on a waggler or small leger with
plenty of loose feed, and keep a low profile as the fish do spook easily.
I believe there are some Tench in there and it does get fished a bit on the weekends.
One of the better swims is when you first get to the lake and there are a couple of good ones on the left hand side as well.
Have a word with the owner when you get there and buy your day ticket as he is very friendly.
