Nice couple off hours on loch ken from 6 till 8. 5 skimmers 2 perch and 2 roach

Where abouts did you fish? I used to fish from the road side and at the side of the Ken Bridge hotel when the river was high, lovely place.

I fish at the crossmicheal marina most off the time. All along that bay there’s plenty off fish to be had.

The last time I fished Loch Ken it was stuffed with very nice roach. What puzzled me back then was the amount of dead roach on the bank. It was only when I spoke to another angler did he tell me that fly anglers when they catch a roach on their fly simply throw them up the bsnk to die. They see course fish as a nuisance. Shame as there was some lovely roach dead on the bank. ???

Never seen any dead roach around the marina area. The only nuisance is crayfish but if you put a long enough hook length on, if your feeder fishing the skimmers or roach get to it first as it’s dropping through the water.
