Hi,

My NYResolution was to stop smoking, give up drinking and taste the wilder side of life more and I've broke all 3 icon_smile_sad.gif

I lit up on New years day on the way home from a party, got pi**ed during the evening and proposed to my ex-ex the same night
Bang goes the wilder side

In all seriousness its about time as its been on the cards for so long and I've been pratting about (so she told me icon_smile_big.gif)

So invitations may be in order nearer the time to you all
All the best everyone,

Tim icon_smile.gif

My resolution for the year is to get more people onto the banks from work. They tend to talk a lot about fishing from bygone days and never seem to venture out now.We have started a small club and are having fishing days where people can learn current methods and the "teachers " can learn from the old timers. They have probably forgotton more than the teachers anyway.

Heres an idea....

Why not "persuade" your colleges to attend the norven fish-in cos there'll be loads of good people there to teach them the "new" styles of angling plus it will help raise a bit more for the Macmillans icon_smile_big.gif

Hi Dave,
Welcome back,Someone once told me that Jesus must have been a Yorkshireman, because he could walk on water!
Trouble was ,it was a con trick because all he was doing was walking on all the groundbait he had thrown in.......

Happiness is a rod in your hand.

Hey John G
Havent seen you lately, but must post following your inspiration!
Today fished Collingham on the Trent
1) a new venue to me
2) a new method, feeding raw mince and fishing steak on the stick float
3) a new species! aiming for chub, got 1 first trot 2 & 1/2 lbs on new 20' concept krissy present!, but 2nd fish on a large chunk of steak was a 6" baby flounder lol.
Collingham is very close to Newark where the tidal Trent ends, so this lil fish was many, many miles from the sea.
However, def a new species for me!
since Dec 11, I've had a Grayling, a Millers Thumb!!! and now a flounder.
Hows it going with you?
Regards
Trev
