Pull footplate out a few inches. Twist locking pins to lock position, then fully pull out footplate. It will automatically lock in position
I'm doing that, I just think it's poor design

Word of warning to anybody with short legs or generally short
Im 5’10 and im not 100% certain its not too high for me
If you need to lower it the entire drawer assembly will need to be removed as its one piece. You can use the tray from the stack kit but you will have no drawers and it will drop the height quite a bit so you may need to order different trays

Here is my solution to the fact that my tray, when erected on the box, didn't leave room for the landing net. I posted a thread earlier. I use two extensions from Octbox, and added two short posts. The Nu-Fish tray fits on the posts, leaving room for the tray extension.jpg landing net.
