A couple of months ago I put in a Patent for a new float that pegs onto your line and does not need any weights either side only down the line. This product is currently under developement and will probably be launched at 'Go Fishing 2004' in Feb. The float pegs on and does not slide easily and has a safety catch to stop it being pulled off if caught in bushes etc...

You could always fill it with helium to make it more buoyant, lol.

Sounds like a good idea - will there be different sizes and is it fiddly or cumbersome?

You can have any size you want, even 11m high. Then you will need helium. God help the fish thats got to pull the bloody thing under.
