It would appear that way. We need another 32 points from 19 games to reach 40, I reckon 35 might be enough for survival this year.

Problem is though, with only 8 points from 20 games what makes anyone think this will change? No decent players will want to join in January with relegation a certainty. It's obvious the players we do have don't have the ability or fight to change things.

Jeez

How s**t are United?

It's no wonder that Rooney hasn't scored many goals this season, hardly seeing the ball.

Worst United team for 20 years

Nice to see the Stoke are still blaming Ramsey for breaking his own leg.

They boo Shang because both Ramsey and Wenger came out in the press and said it was deliberate intent by Shawcross.

Although he plays on the edge Shawcross is not like that.

Would you like to talk about that nice Viera fellow who was never sent off?.

Oh wait a minute

Such was his intent he was visibly upset about the whole incident for weeks after.
Take a look at his dismissal record, seems to differ from your opinion.

For all the balls spoken about Stoke, Arsenal have had more sending offs and yellows per number of games in the Prem than Stoke.

Look up Arsenals record 2001 2002 season

As Rafa would say FACT

not disputing yellows & reds, name an arsenal player that has gone in with intent to damage, not one.
Shawcross has gone in with intent & was successful, disgusting[:W]

Would bother to discuss it with you but your smilie shows your mentality and that it would be pointless.

Enjoy it while you can SA, because as sure as eggs are eggs they'll be back. United as you say were very ordinary, but Liverpool were no better.

Thing is Davy I do want United to be better.

Its bad enough that the Prem becomes a 2 or 3 horse race every year as it is.

I want our teams to dominate in Europe and it not be the other usuals.

I see what you mean SA, but the way both of them played yesterday and have been playing, you would think they were nearer the bottom of the league, rather than 2 points from a place in Europe. The standard seems to have dropped a lot, since only last season even.

In other news - Simon mignolet has signed a new 5 year contract at Liverpool. Personally, I would've been giving him 5 months and be looking for a new keeper at the end of the season.

Couldn't believe it when i read that.
Though some pundits reckon it's just to keep his value a bit higher ready for a sell off in the summer.

As I see it his value drops like a stone after nearly every game lol.
Doesn't fill me with confidence....even worse than Glenn Johnson used to.

To be fair to him though even DeGea would struggle with the turgid defence that we have this season. I dont think any keeper would play with confidence behind that to be honest?

Successful sides always start with a solid keeper.
Something Liverpool have been lacking for a long time.

I know even Grobs was a bit eccentric but he never made my ar5e twitch every time the ball was passed back to him.
