from Mild hybrid - Wikipedia

Mild hybrids (also known as power-assist hybrids, battery-assisted hybrid vehicles or BAHVs) are generally cars with an internal combustion engine equipped with an electric machine (one motor/generator in a parallel hybrid configuration) allowing the engine to be turned off whenever the car is coasting, braking, or stopped, yet restart quickly. Mild hybrids may employ regenerative braking and some level of power assist to the internal combustion engine (ICE), but mild hybrids do not have an exclusive electric-only mode of propulsion.

Here, try again. I typed it more slowly this time to make it easier to follow.

Its when your lass takes your diesel van and puts 50 quid worth of petrol in it and then splutters it 60 mile to her mother's before ringing you and telling you that your van isn't running right. Yep, two years ago nearly to the day. ?
