not fished it for ages but they do a write up in our local paper each week bout the local fisheries and matches on islands lake have been won with up to 90lb of silvers the last couple of weeks, some guy fished 2-3 metres for roach and skimmers.

to be honest mate i can't remember it was caster or pellet one of those two maggot tends to gets the really small fish going there. I would dig the paper out but it went for recycling on thursday.
But yeah supposed to be fishing really well for the roach and skimmers. Pellet on a leger rig normally catches you a fair few carp on there. Not fished it for ages to be honest but you shouldn't go far wrong after the roach close in and carp towards the islands or lilly's if you have any in your peg [
