Hi All

I have just seen the match results for the specimen lake at Maver larford (chalet bank) and they appear to be doing well on the 6m line, can anyone enlighten me on how they are approaching it? Obviously it's the pole but are they filling it in with groundbait and waiting or little and often? Or loose feeding etc?

I think the baits at the moment are corn, meat and pellets, but would welcome any advice.

Thanks in advance

If you can get your hands on issue2 of the Angling Times match magazine (free with the angling times), there is a breakdown of the pegs on the complex. Along with looking at the match results this may help you a bit.

The 6m line at Larford only works when there are spare pegs.If every peg is in its not worth bothering.
Best way to fish the Speci is the Splash Waggler feed 8mm Pellets as far out as you can catty them and keep casting every minute or so.
Fish 8lb main line and 0.22 hooklength 14's hook with a lassoed 8mm Pellet.
