I wouldn't mind winter if Summer hadn't been so terrible! I spent last winter looking forward to summer and warm misty still mornings with tench bubbles and all I got was rain, wind and bream.

Whilst not a very summery summer it was actually a good fishing one is it rarely got too hot or bright instead generally more warm with always a bit of cloud but not too much wind and mostly regular enough top ups of rain. Autumn has been good so far as well in terms of it being mild and calm with just about enough rain although looks like it’s about to turn cold, wet and windy. Would be nice to just get a winter without the constant floods of recent years tbh.

This Autumn has been disappointing for me slightly. Summer was alright. I seem to remember the bad days more.

Love the autumn, fill it in with groundbait run maggot pinkie or worm over it, then when it's cold n clear liq bread bait dropper punch over the top. Let's hope the fish like it 👍.

One thing I won’t be looking forward to is the cramp I get in my feet when it’s cold. It’s been happening for a while, part of getting old? I’m only 41 though.

Might need some new boot recommendations soon.

Personally I love winter fishing, for me fishings not all about bagging up (although a few red letter days here and there don’t hurt) but I find winter you don’t get as many anglers on the bank for a start and I’ve learnt a lot on those hard winters days and just find it rewarding when you’ve been up against the elements and still managed to put a few fish in the net,I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but you can’t beat getting to the bank on a crisp frosty morning just as it’s getting light 😎

I HATE winter, too cold and too dark. Spring and summer I love, I tolerate autumn but hate winter.

Nah, winter is far too dark and far too cold. Don't even go there with that white stuff falling, that really gets my goat up!
April through May are the best months of the year.
