There are some deep glides on my local section of the Trent, 12 to 14 ft off your rod tip sort of thing. Chatted to a chap who fishes the stick with good success with a 17ft acolyte on these pegs on the seed so right up my street. Not got the budget for a new acolyte and probably only be a few sessions a season so looking for something 16ft/17ft that will do the job. Anyone got anything they want to part with based in Notts/Derby or willing to post?

You could go a Maver but still a bit pricey.

I've bit the bullet and gone for an acolyte 17ft, watched a few on eBay and had an offer on a new one for £206 so went for it. Thanks for the offers and interest ?
