If you like films based on real people I can recommend these -

Race. About Jesse Owens and the 1936 Olympics.

Amistad. Brilliant historical legal/slavery film.

Hidden Figures. About 3 African American women who are instrumental in NASA.

Watched The Green Mile for the first time in probably 15 years on Saturday and forgot just how good it is. In Tom Hanks world, Catch Me If You Can is well worth a watch as well.

Tom Hanks films are Normally pretty good, but tried to watch “A Lovely day in the neighbourhood “
Didn’t last 15 minutes.
Be interested to know if anybody has managed to stick it out.

I’ve been catching up on the classics on BBC iPlayer, including Citizen Kane. There are some brilliant old films out there. Watched The Train” (1964) tonight with Burt Lancaster, was excellent.

I've been binging on my favourite tv shows, watching many for the third time

Detectorists
After Life
Derek
Sherlock
Fleabag
Black Mirror
Life on Mars

I'm just getting into metal detecting so found The Dig of particular interest, a lovely film.

There’s a new Amazon Original called “Greenland”, disaster movie with Gerard Butler. Watched it last night and it was a steady watch.

The Revenant is an intense watch, Dicaprio does make some great movies.

Just watched Greenland as well, not bad for a lockdown watch. Really enjoyed The Dig.
